Morley Motorsports Attracts New Sponsor
Elk Grove, California (July 12, 2000) Morley Motorsports announced on May 4th,2000 that TCOMM (T Communications), a Northern California interconnect company that specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of data communications cabling and associated infrastructure, had agreed to a eight-race deal as Primary sponsor of the team for the 2000 season.
Morley Motorsports will be looking to take the #49 T-COMM Formula Ford to a strong finish in this Sunday's race at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Ca. It's very encouraging to bring in sponsors such as T-COMM, said team owner Bob Morley, a resident of Elk Grove for 13 years. We ran a limited schedule last year after losing an engine at Laguna Seca, and concentrated our efforts on turning a good performance at each race while we looked for sponsorship support. There are still sponsorship opportunities available for the remainder of this year and the year 2001 effort. We would enjoy bringing business back to our hometown and place of business. We're working hard, and we're glad to get back to full-time racing. These are all steps in that direction."
Morley continued, "We had a great run at Laguna Seca in the June 2nd - 4th Double Regional races, including a second and third place finish. We'll be looking to capitalize on the momentum we gained there to produce results this weekend at Laguna Seca. We are currently fifth in the points, even though we missed the first race of the year due to attending daughter Christina's State Cup soccer tournament in Morgan Hill,Ca. (with the Elk Grove 'Flash', an U-17 girls competitive soccer team from the Elk Grove United Soccer Club)

Morley Motorsports operate a family owned and operated SCCA (San Francisco Region) Formula Ford (Spec Ford class) race team out of Elk Grove, Ca., featuring Bob Morley as driver. His wife Peggy serves as Crew Chief while daughter Christina helps out at the track as her schedule allows. They started the Race Team in 1997 and followed up by finishing third in the championship, their Rookie year.
