This week marks the return to the track for the San Francisco Region of the SCCA with the Season Opener at Sears Point (Infineon) raceway in Sonoma, Ca. We, however, have been pushing the numbers around for our recession racing budget due to cutbacks and possible layoffs in our daytime jobs. So, just today the engine was sent up to Oregon to Jay Ivey with Ivey Engines for a full refresh. That will probably not put us on the track until at least the Memorial Day Double Regional at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Ca. The good news is we will be racing this year, just on a limited schedule. We will keep you informed here.....

This weekend the SFR SCCA returns to Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Ca. for the Double Points Finale and the Illgen Enduro, to be held on Sunday. We found a crack in the transaxle, so we will not be attending this weekend, making our next outing the Season Opener in April 2008. Enjoy the off season if you can............

They finally posted the results online for the Formula Ford Feature race where we finished 8th and we bettered our best ever lap at Laguna Seca by almost a second over Saturday's 1:40.226 with a 1:39.395.Go here to see those results.

This past weekend found us at Laguna Seca raceway in Monterey, Ca. for the Formula Ford Festival Double Regional. We had mixed results due to mechanical problems in the first race (13th), bad luck in the second race (10th) and finished in a solid 8th place in the Formula Ford feature race while earning a $ 50 bonus for use at Porter Racing in Merced, Ca. We also bettered our personal best lap time (set in '01) at this track on Saturday, so all in all a good weekend. FYI - Track reports have been updated. Click on the Track Reports button above for those reports. This was our last race of the year, so we won't be back on track until the Season Opener in April.........
